Salvation Army Christmas Campaign Review

Feb 15, 2025 | by Capt. Mika Roinila

Thank you to everyone who helped us surpass our campaign goal!  The Salvation Army's 2024 Red Kettle Campaign raised a total of $130,607, and the overall 2024 Christmas Campaign raised $322,312 – the highest in the past five years! We are very happy to have surpassed our goal of $250,000. We have been blessed!

A celebration of achievements with individual volunteers who attended our awards celebration on Jan.27th were awarded with certificates of thanks that shared the amounts raised by each. We recognized bell ringers who raised the most, with 1st place brass bell plaque going to Bill Hohman, who raised $3067, 2nd place brass bell plaque going to Kim Johnson, who raised $3012, and 3rd place brass bell plaque going to Mark Baga, who raised $2686 for The Salvation Army.

The coveted Golden Kettle in recognition of the efforts of all service clubs was awarded to the American Legions Post 257 and Post 298, who collectively raised $11,023.68 in the kettle campaign. Representatives from both Posts were on hand to receive the trophy, which will be kept at the two lodges for 6 months and shared amongst the winners – just like the Stanley Cup!

We thank the residents of Calhoun and Barry Counties for their continued support. May God continue to bless the work of The Salvation Army.
